Ladies and Gentlemen…start your wine drinking engines!

I present to you…

NATIONAL DRINK WINE DAY!

Today, February 18th, is National Drink Wine Day. A day that also coincides with our Federal celebration (yes, you get the bloody day off) of Presidents Day Weekend. For those of you that have children, work in banks or in the civil services, this holiday requires you to do the following:

1. Find something to do with the kids if you are still forced to work on Monday. Grandparents, next door neighbors, the high school babysitter are options. The guy on the corner holding the cardboard sign, get a reference. Now that I think about it, get one for the grandparents as well…

2. Find something to do with yourselves. Many choose to run errands, catch up on sleep, or go skiing ( it’s a Colorado thing…you wouldn’t understand)

3. Drink copious amounts of alcohol. Hey, it’s a 3 day weekend!

As National Drink Wine Day falls on a Saturday, I invite and encourage you to find not one, not two, but as many wines as possible to try today. Go to your local wine bar (any that have a vinomatic or enomatic machine, where you can try one ounce sips of everything using a pre-paid card are fantastic) and drink. Enjoy the day. Carpe vinum diem. Those of you not in compliance may be considered unpatriotic. I personally drink wine every Saturday with our tasting group and in the studio. Heck, call me Captain America.

Do your duty.

Cheers,

William
